Go Home, Ron Paul!

That's what Fox News is saying to the Ron Paul campaign regarding the planned debate on January 6th (two days before the New Hampshire primary). Only the top five candidates are invited, apparently. But who *are* the top five candidates?

Recent polls suggest there is great fluctuation in preference among early primary voters. Certainly, Ron Paul's recent fundraising (Can anyone say $19 million?) and his iconic message should earn him a seat among the anointed. Perhaps he has the wrong message?

To ensure fairness, CNN, or another major network could offer Ron Paul an hour to talk about the war and other issues on which he has major disagreements with the other candidates.

Surely, the FCC and FEC shouldn't have objection to an alternate station attempting to balance the field in the presidential race? Public policy should be geared toward helping the public be as well informed as it can be. Doesn't that make sense?

They don't want him in the debate because he is the only one telling the truth about how terrible our government is. Our government owns the media...isn't this just proof? BOYCOTT FOX and all of their sponsors! Tell your newscorp stock immediately and hit them where it hurts!

IF another network wanted to have better ratings on the night of Jan 6th and was willing to give Ron Paul the platform, here's what I suggest they do.

Monitor the questions asked by Chris Wallace and then ask RP the same questions.

Millions will tune in to see Ron Paul, I assure you. Plus, they can pan outside the venue where the Iraqi-Warmongers Back-Slapping Forum is being held and see the thousands of Paul supporters holding a rally.

The next day, take the questions and post a montage of all the answers given by the WAR-5 group plus Ron Paul's and post it on YouTube and watch the hits skyrocket. You'll have 5 answers the same and only one dissenting point of view. Want to guess who the dissenter will be?

Any takers? CNN? MSNBC? NPR? maybe C-Span? Come on guys, don't be bashful.

Excellent idea Larry, except I'm afraid all of the media are in bed together so I doubt there will be any takers.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, go to youtube and search for the video of Ralph Nader being excluded, and almost arrested, for trying to enter the debates in 2000. It's sickening how corrupt our system is.

It's time to take our country back people. We are being manipulated beyond belief. I can't believe this is America. Watch the video and I think you will agree.

Also, watch 'Outfoxed' about Rupert Murdoch and Fox News. Spread it to everyone you know, they don't deserve to be on the "tell-a-vision."

This is great news for Ron Paul. Fox News has destroyed any shred of credibility they might have had left as a reliable news organization. If they cave in, and allow Ron into the debate, it'll only be because they're afraid of what it'll do to the value of the company's stock, their ad revenue, and their ratings for the debate. What's more, Ron Paul will only gain from this. If they keep him out, people will start to wonder why -- and when they look at what Ron Paul has to say, they'll find it to be reasonable and will become supporters. Those who aren't supporters will be galvanized and energized by the establishment media's attempt to silence him. New Hampshire voters will be outraged by Fox's insult to paint them as being too stupid to listen to the candidates and make up the own minds.

If you want to see a funny satire on the president, the mainstream media, and the
president, watch this YouTube music video. It features horror movie
veteran, Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Wishmaster, Bubba Ho-tep) as the
President of the U.S. facing a crisis ("zombie terrorist attack").
It's an excerpt from the new international award-winning zombie rock
musical feature film, "Song of the Dead." The filmmaker, Chip Gubera,
is giving a share of his revenue from DVD sales to the Ron Paul
campaign. Go to:
Ron Paul is taking over both the real world and the virtual world.
That's because he's the only presidential candidate in perhaps the
last 100 years to bring honest, integrity, and authenticity to the
presidential race. Go to:

If one of the networks did do something like that they would make $$$$.

Why not, perhaps we need to do some e-mailing.

You say toe-may-to, I say toh-mah-toe- either way, it's rotten tomatoes for FOX News. Their 'Roundtable' is neither fair nor balanced, and should count as a paid political advertisement, since they don't even go through the motions of a sham process of exclusion. No matter how you slice it, this rotten tomatoe of a 'forum' (or whatever you wish to perform semantic gymnastics in calling it) excludes Ron Paul, while including Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani and John McCain- candidates who are statistically polling even with or below Dr. Paul in New Hampshire. Apparently FOX merely wants a Republican Neo-Con love-In rather than a real honest discussion about issues that includes ALL the legitimate candidates. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't delegitimize their candidacy.

Look for a post-'forum' spin telling us how great Rudy did (they ALWAYS say that even when he stinks up the room, right Frank Luntz?), they'll talk about how folksy and down-to-earth Mike Huckabee is (Ignoring his numerous faux pas and hateful rhetoric- even if delivered in a 'folksy' manner), how 'strong' John McCain sounded (have to push him- Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes are both good buddies with all the defense contractors making BILLIONS on this insane war!), and surely they will talk about how 'Presidential' Fred Thompson appeared (amazing he's still running- is he still running?).

Overall, It's amazing that anyone takes FOX News seriously anymore, seeing how they don't even try to hide their bias, and decry the immorality of American culture just before introducing the next 'spring break gone wild' videos for the umpteenth time.

Gee... Ron Paul doesn't look so 'kooky' when you look at him next to FOX News coverage of the Presidential race!

The dollar slid across the board on Friday as data showing a 9 percent decline in sales of new U.S. homes last month heightened concern about the economy, putting the greenback on track for its worst week in more than a year.
The housing report, which was weaker than economists had expected, also bolstered the case for more Federal Reserve interest rate cuts in 2008. Earlier this week, the S&P/Case-Shiller index showed a record decline in U.S. home prices in October.

This is what's happening to YOUR house. All the 'money' and 'equity' you thought you had saved - eliminated! The equity through falling house prices - and the money because we are DEBASING OUR CURRENCY. That low fed rate you're reading about gets created by printing money and lending it to people. With more money, the money YOU have is worth LESS. So your money is worth less and your property is worth less - where can you turn to keep ahead of inflation? I think you BETTER turn to Dr. Paul. He's the ONLY one running that has a HOPE of being able to deal with this.

Also please remember this wa the ONLY thing my post was about.

Let your voice be heard....Send an email

To Whom it may Concern,

I am writing to express my disappointment and displeasure upon discovering Dr. Ron Paul will be excluded from the New Hampshire Debates. Dr. Paul has placed #1 among Republicans AND Democrats at AOL's spam-proof poll. Dr. Paul LEADS ALL Republican candidates in fund raising this quarter. Dr. Paul is tied for third place in IOWA. Dr. Paul's support is known to be great among Independents, former Republicans and Democrats. Surely these people deserve to have their candidate heard! Dr. Paul Is the MOST searched for candidate on the internet. The exclusion of Dr. Paul from these debates would be for me the final convincing piece of evidence that we the American citizens are no longer in control of our destiny. Once the process to file FEDERAL complaints via the FCC is automated, you may expect a flood of letters to your affiliate stations stating FOX affiliates are NOT acting in the public interest.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't hit 21 million by midnight tonight.

It's not that several dozen supporters are donating tens of thousands, but rather tens of thousands of fans are donating several dozens.

It's like he's putting on a Rock Concert and the tickets are selling out fast!

I've written my letter of protest to Fox News. The irony is that they call their news station "fair and balanced". The ONLY balance they have is Judge Napolitano. I highly recommend his book "A Nation of Sheep". When you buy it and realize that the message he is sending parallels Ron Paul, take a gander at the back of the book where the Fox News staff appear to have been forced to leave comments. They Hypocrisy of Sean Hannity,Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh just goes hand in hand with everything Fox news is about. What they are about is forcing their agenda down our throat. Using fear tactic to control the "sheep" and making sure that there is no other voice but theirs --which results in having a "WAR Round Table" and leaving out the one man who speaks of Peace. They probably would have thrown Gandhi & Martin Luther King off their panel too!! I'd love to see what Stock shares the people at Fox News own. Who is making money off this war? Keep on Sheeping on People! WAKE UP AMERICA!

"CNN, or another major network could offer Ron Paul an hour"

Why would another network do anything differently than Fox News?

Ron Paul is not polling well. Forum sponsors and networks want to narrow the field to the top tier. Paul is not in that tier. There is going to be a push from now on to limit the number of speakers in a forum.

CNN would not act differently from FOX.

Tim are you stupid? Ron Paul is polling higher than Thompson or Giuliani in NH. and has raised more money. Get it together and realize that it doesn't add up... My God man.

and oh yeah.... that's Thompson AND Giuliani.

Can you imagine why Tim?

Open your eyes SHeeple!!
Watch this video to see why CNN sells War! Then take a gander why Rupert Murdoch sells it even harder. Who owns who? We have a bunch of Corporate Candidates forced down our throats and people like YOU back them by listing to these idiotic polls!

Being an organizer for New York State Ron Paul Meet-up....I've just had to go through the delegate process. Did you know that 80% of Ron Paul supporters have recently SWITCHED from another party as late as October 12th. DO YOU THINK ANYONE IS POLLING THESE PEOPLE in the Republican Party????????

http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/240.html

It's growing increasingly apparent that faux news is getting contributions from the military industry (or the administration) (or someone). It doesn't make sense why they wouldn't put the biggest fundraiser on their show if this were not the case. Media is a business, and for this to pay off for fox... well just think about it!!

I am overjoyed that Ron Paul is to be excluded. Elvis, the Beatles, etc. all massively increased their popularity when the power structure tried to resist their influence. The new campaign should be on "What candidate does the media not want you to see?"

January 17th we will show them who can go home and who will stay in till the end. The new massive fundraising that will even shock Ron Paul!!! With our neat first results people will be willing to donate more then ever before! Embrace yourselves people!

I am a Conservative that supported this "war on Terror". That is, until the good Dr. opened my eyes to what is really happening.
I want to say that I am now a recovering Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Fox News addict.
I no longer desire or need any of those anymore.
Thanks Dr. Paul!

He's raised more money than GOD and is much higher in the polls in NH than Fred.

Democracy is dead. Watching how unfair the media has been to Dr. Paul just convinces me I'm right when I think the elections are rigged, as certainly the media is....

Very intelligent response; even if 'ad hominem.' You surpass yourself.

Here are the relevant polls:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-192.html

Well, here we are at 3:30 AM still working the web to help the good Doctor win in Nov. and it seems that Mr. Cullen, the GOP chair in NH who was, at first, the fall guy for the corporate gang at Fox is now backpedling and placing all the blame on FOX!!! They had, at first, given him the criteria to 'limit' invitations and convinced him to send them out. I sent him a very pointed list of reasons why he may have just shot himself (and the NH Republican Party) in the foot and as usual, now the blame game ensues... The end result is still the same. I believe many who don't know about the Ron Paul explosion on the web will not come to the realization that he is the only candidate standing for the real core beliefs of the true conservative in this country. Moreover, he is the ONLY candidate who I believe embodies the real "Patriot" spirit of our forefathers. A Libratarian of sorts and a very REAL American, something I can't say for the remaining candidates. Open your wallets and give to this mans campaign or the corporate wolves will open it for you after they elect THEIR candidate!!! Buy some signs... bumper stickers... SlimJims... and pass them out at intersections in YOUR town... That's what we're doing... This is how that 'non-web' group will find out about the Ron Paul Experience!!!
Good Luck and God Bless Ron Paul...

not much of a democracy with free speech after all!

This is the most important factor to take into consideration when thinking about Ron Paul's chances for winning - polls do not apply. Here's why:

1) Who Gets Polled In the Big-Name Polls?
When GOP polls are taken by Zogby, Rasmussen and others, they only poll those GOP voters who either caucused or voted in the last GOP POTUS primary. But GW Bush ran unopposed in 2004, and only 6% of all GOP voters participated.

And let's face it, those that would actually go to a primary to vote for someone running unopposed are the hardcore GW Bush supporters who had to make sure the guy won the primaries. These are not people who would be likely to vote for Ron Paul, but they're a teeensy tiny percentage of total GOP voters. But when these polls are taken, these are the people that get the phone calls. The fact that as many as 10% of them in Iowa support Ron Paul is amazing.

2) Ron Paul and Disillusioned Republicans
I'm one of them, and so are many others. GW Bush ran on Ron Paul's foreign policy platform back in 1999, which is the year I voted for Bush.

After watching Bush and his cartel do precisely the opposite of what he said he'd do, then after 911, and the Iraq invasion, I joined the Constitution Party before the last election in 2003 and that's how I voted.

The press say that 25% of GOP voters are now against GW Bush's policies. The press always underreports though. I think the number is much much higher. All the other candidates are touting following the current policies of the Bush administration (with a few minor exceptions). Based on the hundreds of conversations I've had with Republicans who are voting for Paul, I believe that more GOP voters support Paul than the media lets on, and those GOP voters aren't the ones being polled.

3) Ron Paul and Independents
They're switching more and more each day. So many in this country are so sick of the Dems and GOP that they're declaring their independence. Paul is attracting them in huge numbers because he is so different. But they aren't polled.

4) Ron Paul and Disenfranchised Democrats
I am shocked at how many Democrats I've met that have become Paul supporters. They have "held their noses" and reregistered as Republicans just so they can vote for Paul. But they aren't polled.

5) Ron Paul and Libertarians
Recently, the LP asked Paul if he'd run on their ticket and he refused. Why? Because LP candidates don't participate in debates and get even less attention than Paul gets now. Paul must stay in the mainstream party at least until after February 5th or he'll really get ignored. But is that going to stop LP voters from voting for him? NO WAY! They're registering GOP in the states that require declaring fo primaries. And they too, are not polled.

6) Ron Paul and the Constitution Party
The CP is now the third-largest party in the United States. Some in it's own leadership are supporting Ron Paul, the most notable being Chuck Baldwin. The argument rages across the Internet: Should CP members support a candidate that isn't running on their ticket or should they cut off their noses to spite their faces? The concensus seesm to be: How many chances like this will we ever get? CP Party members seem to agree there won't be many. As I am a CP member, I am on many forums where I see this daily. And they don't get polled either.

7) Ron Paul and Leftist Liberals
Yes, even MoveOn.org members and others support Paul, though on one issue alone. That of course is his foreign policy platform of non-interventionism. But the fact that even these liberals would support Paul speaks volumes about his cross-party support. Think these liberals get polled? NOT!

8 International Support:
Paul has more meetup groups, organizations and supporters in other countries than any other candidate. For years, the rest of the world has been dismayed at an ever increasing imperialism of the United States around the world. Paul wants to stop that. Do these supporters have influence? You bet they do! There are millions of new voters in the United States in the form of new naturalized citizens. Those new citizens, proud of their newly-gained status, almost always vote. But they aren't polled.

9) Military Support:
Paul gets the most money from our military than any other candidate in either party. But guess what? They aren't polled!

10) How Are the Big-Name Polls Conducted?
While this may be a minor point (and therefore deserves last place), it IS a factor. All the national and state big name polls are conducted using land line phones. Folks who use only cellular phones aren't getting polled, even if they did vote in the GOP primary in 2003.

When you combine all these factors together, it becomes clear that poll numbers mean nothing when it comes to predicting Ron Paul's viability.

If your only reason for not supporting Ron Paul is you don't see him doing well in these polls, I suggest you rethink your position.

Saint Anselm had their own Mock Primary and students voted for Ron Paul five times more than Thompson. Ask the students and faculty what they think of Fox's decision...

http://www.anselm.edu/Ask+Saint+Anselm.htm

Excellent summation on the polling process and the noteworthy reasons for not paying any attention to the "national polls". However, my unrelenting concern continues to be the PTB fixing the vote via Diebold Corp. ( see Bush/Gore election 2000 and Diebold software given to representative of Jeb Bush to fix 2000 election ) and the Voter News Service. There has never been any independent citizenry oversight of VNS during any vote counting in national elections. They don't allow it! It's forbidden in a supposed democratic society. I don't care how many Dr. Paul supporters we have overlooking the process at the precincts on election day, how does one overcome this truly insidious problem? You are talking about software inside the voting machines and an organizination (VNS) counting votes with absolutely no independent oversight. The current electoral system is specifically designed to fix elections. I honestly don't know the answer to or how we resolve this ongoing problem.

Don't forget, as Josef Stalin once said, "Those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes decide everything".

There is more to viability than polls. It is outrageous that they would invite Thompson and not Paul. Thompson's campaign has no money. And Thompson failed to secure a ballot position in DE and DC. It only takes 280 signitures in DC to get on the ballot and 1000 signatures in DE to get on the ballot. This is a testament to the weakness of Thompson's campaign. How can you be a front-runner with no money and the inability to secure ballot positions in all 50 States? Thompson should do the honorable thing: resign and offer his seat at the forum to Paul.

i have been preaching the same concern (DIEBOLD)as my fellow Dr. Ron Paul supporter Robert in this blog but nobody had come up with a valid answer or solution yet for this very important issue, where are our brainiest computer geeks Ron Paul fans i am desperatly waiting for any solution or we just have to show up at least 3 to 1 excess at all debates and voting polls

Is Fox fair and balanced? Take the poll…

http://surveyg2.pollingpoint.com/v3r7RgTsGXrhg8

I think Dr. Paul should be included in all debates PERIOD…

Dr. Ron Paul in 2008

Fox "News" is showing their true colors on this one. Shine the cockroaches out onto the tiles. :)
