Flower Power: Licensing Florists in Lousiana

Kevin Rollins, editor of The Free Liberal, interviews Clark Neily, a senior attorney at the Institute for Justice, on florist licensing in Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The law which apparently offers no real benefits to consumers, requires they be tested before they can "tie two flowers together." Neily describes the licensing process as, "so subjective it would make a French figure-skating judge blush."
