As my fellow blogger Bob Capozzi has noted the reward for Osama bin Laden which had been set at $25mil was recently raised to $50mil. Still no takers though and in a place where most people live in abject poverty too. Hmmm.
Maybe, just maybe, some things are more important to them than money. What does that say about radical Islam? What does it say about America and its skewed view that everyone and everything is for sale, including the content of a person’s heart? The US government could offer a reward of a billion dollars and I don’t think it would change things by one whit.
The zealots of this world don’t join and serve with al-Qaida for college money; or VA housing loans, PX benefits, or because their mom kicked ‘em out of the house. However America’s troops often do serve for these and other very trivial reasons. So who do you suspect is more highly motivated and by what? That is why al-Qaida will as the motto of a certain popular TV show says, “out-play, out-think, and out-last” the West unless conditions change. My humble opinion for what it’s worth.
