A Call for Support: the Tsunami Disaster

Dear Friends,

Right now, you are probably hearing more about the Tsunami disaster and the increasing amount of death and suffering it has brought to our neighbors in Asia.

Freedom-minded people are rightly suspicious of massive government charity to stricken peoples, both for utilitarian and libertarian reasons. But, Free Liberals recognize that it is our responsibility to help others as we ourselves would want to be helped. Without getting into the debate about government involvement, we can make the choice about private aid.

I don’t know how much we can do, but I myself am making a small contribution to Doctors Without Borders. I encourage you to make a donation as you can afford it.
